                  Get on Board! April 20 is the day of our Honors Gala. This year we honor US Representative Keith Ellison, who has represented the Fifth Congressional District in the US House of Representatives since 2007. The Fifth Congressional District is the most vibrant and diverse district in Minnesota with a rich history and traditions. the Fifth District includes the City of Minneapolis and the surrounding suburbs. Ellison’s philosophy is one of “generosity and inclusiveness.” His roots as a community activist and his message of inclusivity through democratic participation resonates throughout the Fifth District. His priorities in Congress include promoting peace, prosperity for working families, environmental sustainability, and civil and human rights. Turning Point Honors Award The ward itself recognizes and celebrates knowledge, leadership, experience and longevity. We are honored to salute individuals who deserve the highest praise. Our honorees reflect the values and traditions that make African Americans successful, strong and monumental. This year we also honor Ms. Patricia Carter as Employee of the Year, Mr. Marvin Clark as Client of the Year and Ms. Elizabeth Reed, President’s Award Recipient.
